Your name on a reportshould still mean something.
MedReport does not let a signature be typed, delegated or batched. You re-confirm your identity, you attest that the content is right, and the signature is bound to your HPCSA registration as verified at that moment. We did not skip that step for convenience, because the report carries your name for the next several years and not ours.

Do I have to install anything?
No. Open it in the phone browser and add it to your home screen. It behaves like an app from there, on the same secure login as the practice site.
What happens to the recording?
It is processed in South Africa and discarded once you accept the note. What persists is the document and its seal.
What if the signal drops mid-consult?
Recording continues on the device and uploads when the connection returns. You do not lose the encounter.
Can I use my own phrasing?
Yes. Edit anything in the draft before signing. The structure is fixed by the document type, the wording is yours.
I already use an ambient scribe. Do I stop?
Only if you want to. MedReport records and drafts on its own, so most doctors use it as the only tool. If you would rather keep your scribe, your notes can be brought in and MedReport takes over from the note onwards.
How much of my day does this take?
Recording adds nothing, because you were having the consult anyway. Review and sign is where your time goes, and it is the part nobody else can do for you.
